Roger Usmar

General Manager

 

Roger Usmar joined Oceania in June 2015 as General Manager. 

 

Usmar has extensive New Zealand dairy industry experience with Fonterra and it’s legacy companies and in-depth operational and people management experience. He is excited by the challenge that Yili’s significant development plans for the Oceania site will bring.

 

Roger will focus heavily on a significant $400 million expansion project that will more than triple capacity and considerably expand Glenavy’s product range by 2017.  This will include adding more than 130 career opportunities at the site and handling more than 630 million litres of milk from local farm suppliers.

Shane Lodge

Quality and Compliance Manager/Supplier Liaison Manager

 

Shane joined Oceania having had a similar role at New Zealand Dairies Ltd. He was previously the Executive Director of The Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand and held senior roles at Fonterra, New Zealand Dairy Group and the South Island Dairy Co-op after starting in the dairy industry with MAF. He is a Graduate of Lincoln College (B Agr Sci) and a Justice of the Peace.

 

Shane is responsible for the quality systems from farm to export that ensure top quality product is produced and he is the main contact within the Company for farmer suppliers. He is also responsible for ensuring that the company meets all its regulatory requirements.

 

Shane works with and for farmers to maximize their returns and with staff to make the most of suppliers’ milk, reinforcing the fact that quality is built through continuous improvement.

 

He is active in the community with any spare time taken up with walking, biking, gardening, swimming, dancing and a good book.

Echo Liu

Financial Manager

 

Echo assists the strategic and business decision-making processes at Oceania Dairy Limited by providing financial management and timely and accurate financial information. She reports directly to the General Manager.

 

Echo is qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant in Australia and an Associated Chartered Accountant in New Zealand.

 

She spends all of her spare time with her family and loves to travel, read and follow sports of all kinds.

Richard Hickson 

Operations Manager

 

Richard has 25 years dairy industry experience in manufacturing, technical and engineering roles. His most recent role prior to joining Oceania was National Technical Manager Milk Powders and Lactose for Fonterra. His career includes stints with Pepsico working on dairy projects across the Middle East, Nestle in Australia manufacturing infant formula and growing up milk powders, and extensive experience with Fonterra and its legacy companies in New Zealand.

 

Richard is focused on bringing people, plant and resources together to create top quality products and team.  Creating a safe work environment that is challenging yet rewarding is a key objective for Richard.

 

Richard has three children, takes a keen interest in all sports and is also a hobby farmer.

Megan Wang  

IT Technical Support Manager

 

After taking part in the development of the first stage of the Glenvay plant as a consultant with Deloitte, Megan joined Oceania Dairy in March 2015. She manages the delivery and integration of IT systems within the company, including project related IT implementation.

 

She brings to the position a wide breadth of consultant services in fast moving consumer goods, information engineering, procurement and construction sectors, specializing in the design, building, implementation and integration of IT systems.

 

Megan enjoys snorkeling, drawing, reading and shopping.
